Won’t you take me to…Pumpkin Town?

Okay, so I've been eyeing this amazing Haunted Pumpkin Village on Martha Stewart's website for ages wanting to tackle it but, not sure if I could do it justice. Going against my better judgment, I decided to slay the beast. Besides spending five hours in pumpkin Hades, the part that was the most difficult was actually finding pumpkins to carve. Apparently, there was a pumpkin shortage in Virginia this year.

We finally tracked down the perfect pumpkins for the task at the Chesterfield Berry Farm. They also had some very cute gourds I snapped up to place underneath my other project…

Because four pumpkins just wasn't enough.

I’m dreaming of…a lemon tree

The gingerbread houses are finally done! Just in time for the party tomorrow.

My culinary skills definitely came in handy when piping the "snow" onto the roof and window boxes.

I have been wanting a lemon tree for the longest. I use a ridiculous amount of lemons every week and in Farmville, really good lemons are few and far between. However, each time I go to buy a tree, I'm discouraged by the proprietor; they apparently aren't very easy to care for.

Real Living Cornerstone is throwing a huge bash September 27, 2008 to celebrate the great year we've had and to give thanks to our wonderful clients, customers and supporters. May and Sandy were on the invitation committee and came up with really cute invites that have hibiscus flowers outlining the copy. I thought red envelopes would really make the invitations "pop" so, our fearless leader was generous enough to order some for all of us. Thanks, Navona!
