I have been wearing J Crew since high school. The fact that they are based in Virginia is just yet another plus in my book. Their designs are timeless classics, like heirlooms to be passed down and cherished. I have a pair of stone-colored Chinos that are 12 years old if they are a day and still going strong. Oh, and there's the pull-over I bought way back in '98 that is as red as the day it came home with me.
Every now and then I'll see something…anything really beautiful and I have to turn it into something edible. Well, when I saw this sash with its flowers made of an ethereal blend of rayon/silk, I had to take action.
I have a bridal tasting scheduled today and instead of doing cupcakes or slices of cake, I did a 6" decorated with a flowerette sash and sugar paste pearls.
The cake is one of the flavor combinations listed in the new Spring Menu. Devil's Food, filled with fresh strawberries, Vanilla Bean Buttercreme, Milk Chocolate Ganache & iced in our signature Vanilla Buttercream.
